my little light
my little light
pushes against
darkness
my breath
breathes the bay
the sky and
helps hawk fly
my eyes
color the rose
my mouth invents
the taste of
strawberries, honey
my little light
pushes back
darkness
and when the day ebbed
she put away her tools
to sit in the sundown
breathe the twilight
love the birds to rest
